I haven't slept a wink yet tonight. My ultrasound is today at 2pm. I am way nervous. Once I hear it's little heart and can see it moving I should be okay. I don't even care if I find out the sex, I just want to know it is okay. Of course I really want to know the sex. It would would give me a more narrow focus. I am officially at the half way point, that in itself is kind of scary. I still haven't had any cravings yet, food just doesn't sound good anymore.

Gardner Village
Last Friday Scott and I went to Gardner Village. We haven't been together in a couple of years. They always decorate for the season, so it was all decorated with witches for Halloween. I was a little bit nervous since it looked like it would rain and was very crowded, but all went well. We wondered through most of the shops and took pictures of some of the witches. It was a nice fall outing for the two off us. Next year I would like to go to the witches night out celebration. Everyone goes all out dressed as witches. I think it could be a fun sisters outing.

I must have...
If I am having a boy I must have this faux fur bear jacket from Crazy8. I think it is the cutest thing ever. They have a white girl version but it is not as cute and I could just imagine how dirty a toddler would get something all white. I am waiting to buy any baby clothes till I find out what I am having and I probably won't end up buying anything until after my baby shower, but I might have to break down and buy this.

15 weeks along
Today I am 15 weeks along, only 25 weeks to go! These are the two nurseries I am looking at. The top is for a girl and the bottom one is for a boy. Our baby is the size of an orange and apparently starting to kick, but I shouldn't be able to feel it for a couple of more weeks. I still don't feel like eating, nothing ever sounds good and my prenatal vitamin is still making me nauseous, but other then that I am feeling great.

and baby makes three!
Seven weeks ago I found out that I am seven weeks pregnant. So that would make me fourteen weeks along today. I am due March 29th. We don't know what we are having yet, we should find out in about six weeks. I have a feeling I am having a boy, but we will see. We don't have any boys names picked out yet. For a girl we are leaning towards Madeline or Olivia and Claire for the middle name. We have yet to agree on any boys names. I like Chase or Alex, Scott likes neither.

Week in Review
I am trying to think of something interesting to blog about and am totally drawing a blank. I guess I will just do a week in review.
Monday I got a root canal, my tooth had been hurting for the last couple of weeks and last Saturday nothing seemed to stop it. They gave me enough laughing gas and shots to numb me up. I whined about the pain for a couple of days and got super nauseous from the ibuprofen, but almost all better now.
I watched the pilot episode for the show Royal Pains and kind of liked it a lot and will probably Net Flix Season one, just what I need more TV to watch. I have also been into the Gilmore Girls this week, thinking of borrowing Season one from Cara again.
For some reason I have been in a big Country music mood this week. Not sure where this came from. Kind of into Tim McGraw's Southern Pride, Lady Antebellum's American Honey, Carrie Underwood's Undo it, and Miranda Lambert's The House that Built Me.
And of course lots of Basketball this week. The Celtics won the Eastern Conference Finals tonight and the Phoenix Suns and LA Lakers play game six Saturday night. I would love it if the Sun's won, but will take another Celtics -Lakers match up, would totally have my money on a repeat of the 2008 Play offs. Boston all the way.

The NBA playoffs round 1
That time is upon us yet again the NBA Playoffs. In round won we are playing the evil Utah Jazz. We were off to a good start we won game 1, then lost 3 in a row, so last night was win or go home and of course we one, we are so not ready to go home. Anderson even played injured and awesome like always. Tonight is game 6 another do or die game of course we will win. The Lakers also play tonight against the Thunder from Oklahoma City, of course I am going for the Thunder, my Nuggets have a better chance of winning the Thunder but I do think we could win the Lakers if it came down to it. On the East Cleveland, Boston, and Orlando have already made it. Still waiting on the ATL to take down the Bucks. We will never fear the Deer!! Also on the West the Suns to down the Blazers and the Spurs took down the Mavs.

Lilo and Stitch
Last Saturday I watched Lilo and Stitch for the first time in a long time, it was on the Disney Channel and the only thing on. Lilo and Stitch is one of my top three Disney movies, the other two being the Lion King and the Little Mermaid. I don't think I have ever really cried watching it before, but this time I bawled through most of it. It made me think of Gwyn, I think about her all the time but I haven't had a good cry about her in a long time. My favorite two quotes in it are "Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind, Or forgotten" and "This is my family. I found it, all on my own. Is little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good."

Shaun White and Scotty Lago
Tim Burton's Alice and Wonderland
I saw Alice in Wonderland opening weekend. I thought it was amazing! I am not a big movie person. We saw it in 3D and it made it all the better. I was a little worried that the 3D might make me dizzy and nauseous, but I was good. I really want to see it again, I have asked Scott on numerous occasions to see it with me. I bought the book to read, since I never have. I am not sure if I have seen the Disney movie all the way through. I defiantly give it 6 out of 5 stars. Yes it was that good.

2010 Olympics -Snowboarding
The half pipe was one of my favorite events in this Olympics. Shaun White of course won Gold. His first run was so amazing he did not even need to do a second run, but of course he did and even landed his amazing new trick the Double Mc Twist 1260. Scotty Lago from the US won bronze. For the women Torah Bright of Australia won Gold, Hannah Teter of the US won Silver and Kelly Clark also of the US won Bronze. My favorite going into the games was Gretchen Bleiler but after falling came in the finals came in 11th. Seth Westcott of the US won Gold in Snowboard Cross for the men and Maelle Ricker of Canada won Gold in the women's event. Going into it Seth was my fav for the men and Lindsey Jacobellis was my fav for the women, she went off track in the semi's and got disqualified .
The Olmpics are over
Yes it is true the 2010 closing Olympics were this past Sunday and now I am having Olympic withdrawals and am not sure what to watch on TV and now I will have to wait 2 1/2 years for the summer games in London and even then I still prefer the winter games to the summer games. We watched the prime time and late night coverage almost every night and caught the daytime coverage on my days off. My favorites were Ski Jumping, Snowboarding (half pipe and cross), figure skating, aerials, bobsled, and short track skating. The US won the most medals at 37, Germany was 2cd with 30, and Canada 3rd with 26. Canada won the most gold with 14, Germany was 2cd with 10, and the US tied with Norway for 3rd with 9 each.

Another one
I started this one last night, it took forever. I already had the paper and couldn't decide on what I wanted to do for an embellishment. I played with many different colors and styles of ribbon. I finally settled on this brown gingham. I cut circles out of coordinating paper to make the tag. I also have two smaller circle tags on the inside made out of paper that matches the pattern on the bird.

My newest creation
I made this card with left over scraps from Malorie's birthday card. I am probably going to send it to my mother in law as a thank you for the money she gave me for my birthday and to show her what I did with the money. I already had the square buttons, green ribbon, and the butterfly embellishment. The paper and small circle buttons were purchased a Roberts with my birthday money.

Valentines Card
This is the card I made Scott for Valentines day.
It was the first card I have made in a while and has kind of put me in the mood to make more cards. I bought the Valentine rub-ons over a year ago with intent on making a card for Scott. Everything I used I already had. I am trying to use scraps of paper and embellishments I already have before buying more. The inside also had some love theme rub-ons. I should of taken a picture of it before I wrote in it. The hearts on the ribbon are rub-ons and took forever to do, but I thought the effect was worth it.
A just because card
This is a card I made to send to Jaclyn as a just because card. I bought the glass stickers a year or so ago to make Cara a card because they reminded me of her style, but last night when I was going through a jar of embellishments and found them, they seemed more fitting to make a card for Jaclyn. I bought the paper last week at Roberts and out of all my paper this fit the best. It is kind of sad to cut up a 12x12 piece of paper just for two inch strips, but I figure I could use the scraps to make a couple of springtime cards. I bought the buttons the same time I bought the paper because they matched. I am trying to send just because and thinking of you cards more often.
Malorie's birthday card
I have been in a card making mood lately. This is the card I made for Malorie's upcoming birthday in March. I decided to use ribbon I already had and then I found this celebrate embellishment in my stash. I just bought the paper at Roberts, after going through all the paper I had I thought these two match the ribbon the best. I also just bought the buttons recently at Roberts. After I finish the card I thought it needed just a little bit more, so I added the buttons. Also on the inside I used a Happy Birthday Rub on I already had. I think it is cute, hopefully she will too. I need to run to Roberts to get another piece of matching paper to make the envelope, then I will be all the way done.
Bathroom Update
I just bought the soap dish, which I will be using to hold bobbie pins, not soap. I also the toothbrush holder. I wasn't sure about the soap holder, but now having the first two pieces I have decided I need another. I only bought one towel and two hand towels, I think I am going to by a couple of more towels. Everything is half off at Bed Bath and Beyond, so I am afraid it is being discontinued. I still haven't decided on the shower curtain yet. They didn't have anything I thought was perfect. I am still going to check out JC Penny's and Target. I think I am going to get an aqua blue bath rug and maybe pink and beige towels but I am not sure yet. So far everything looks good.

The 2010 Olympic winter games started in Vancouver Canada last Friday night. We have had the games on most nights. So far we have watched Apollo Anton Ohno win silver in short track. We watched Hannah Kearney win gold and Shannon Bahrke win silver in women's freestyle moguls. We watched some of Bode Millers qualifying runs, he ended up winning the bronze in men's Alpine downhill. We watched some luge events, it is not really a sport I am into. We watched men's Snowboard Cross last night, one of my favorite events, Seth Wescott from the USA won gold, in his second Olympics in a row. Tonight we watched Women's Snowboard Cross, it wasn't in our cards to get a medal. Lindsey Jacobellis who won Silver four years ago was slated to win but she lost control and went off track during the semi's. So sad I really wanted her to win. Saturday we watched some Ski Jumping, the normal hill, the large hill is my favorite. I am excited to watch the men's and women's snowboarding half pipe. I don't want to jinx anything but I am hoping Shaun White will win again. We watched men's figure skating tonight and will probably watch the finals on Thursday night, the were wearing some very interesting costumes. My predictions are Evan Lysace (USA), Gold, Yevgeny Plushenko (Russia), Silver and Johnny Weir (USA), bronze. I will probably watch some of the women's figure skating even though I am not too familiar with either of the two skaters from the United States.

Redecorating my bathroom
I found this bathroom set at Bed Bath and Beyond and thought it was cute. I kind of have to pick something that has blue in it since the counter tops are blue. I just really like the toothbrush holder. I like the rug but I don't know if I would get a bigger one in a solid blue color that matches. For solid towels I think I would get a mix of matching blue and sand. I don't like the shower curtains that match. They have one that has lots of surfboards in little squares, it is just too busy, then they have a grass skirt curtain, which i think is a little much and probably messy. I found this one on their website. I would have to see it all next to each other to know for sure. Target also had a few shower curtains that looked like they might match. I will probably buy the toothbrush holder first and then go from there.
Five goals for February
Ok so looking back on January's goal I didn't do so well. I don't think I even worked out a handful of times. I have been trying hard on the breakfast thing, so far this week I have had breakfast 4 out of 6 days. Still struggling on the sleep thing. I think I have been doing better on the cleaning up after myself, or at least trying to do better. Still probably a little too lazy, little too much computer, only 2 blogs in January, but 4 so far today.
But I have been thinking that New Years Resolutions are pretty much meant to be broken, so I am starting to see the start of my year as my birthday which was Monday. So my goals for February will be:
1. Breakfast every morning
2. Going to the gym more
3. A better sleep schedule
4. Getting my bedroom together and organized (It is kind of on the messy side right now)
5. Eat more fruits and vegetables
Check back with you in March!

Random Fact #2
My favorite NBA basketball team is the Denver Nuggets. If you would have asked me last year I would have said the Suns or the Celtics, but I didn't really watch many games until the playoffs. That is when I discovered the Denver Nuggets and there awesomeness and I have never looked back. Most of this is due to Chris Anderson. He is amazing to watch, he is known for is blocks and how he swats the ball away from the hoop. Looks like in this picture he is swatting the ball away from one of the LA Lakers. So far this season they are #2 in the western conference (the Lakers are #1), and #1 in the Northwest. So far they have won 35 and lost 18 games. They almost swept the Jazz in their 4 game series. I watched them play the Jazz at Iggy's the Saturday before my birthday. They lost, it was really sad. In there defence, Carmelo Anthony the current leading scorer in the NBA was out injured as was Chauncey Billups, the team leader. I think if they can all stay uninjured they can take the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. Go Denver!
Random Fact #1
I have worn the same shade of Lip gloss since high school, Lipslicks from Cover Girl in Starlet. Since High school, I have tried several dozen different lipsticks and lip glosses, but always go back to the original. When I first started wearing it, it was called Princess and then at some point in my early twenties the name changed to Starlet be more current. I preferred the name Princess. There is now a different shade named Princess, apparently Princess is back in fashion. It is the Lip gloss on the left, the perfect shade of pink in my opinion.
Life Unexpected
My favorite new TV show is Life Unexpected on the CW. It is about a almost 16 year old Luxe, who has been in the foster care system her whole life trying to get emancipated. She meets her birth parents Cate a radio dj and Base a bar owner. They put her up for adoption when they were 15, but since she had a heart problem she never was and landed in the foster care system. The judge decides not to grant her wishes and puts her back in the care of her birth parents. I have seen the 1st and 2cd episodes at least 3 times and I still cry every time. I listened to episode 1 while running on the treadmill today and made it a little less boring, (I am not a fan of the treadmill and would rather run outside). I even bought the first 3 episodes on Itunes and now needs a new a Itunes card. I saw the 2cd episode first and the song Crazy Ride by Michelle Branch really got to me. I listened to it over and over that night and will buy the CD as soon as it comes out.

A few recipes
Lately I have been into cookbooks, which is a little weird since I rarely cook and never bake. I am trying to start eating local and clean foods, it is kinda slow going. Here are a couple of recipes from Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Cookbook.
Citrus Salad (8, 1 cup servings)
2 pink or red grapefruit, washed
4 naval oranges, washed
juice of one fresh lemon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp maple syrup or agave nectar
1. Remove the peel from oranges and grapefruit as follows: Cut a slice off the bottom and top of each piece of fruit. Set the fruit on a cutting board and with a sharp knife, slice between the peel and the flesh, following the core carefully. Rotate the fruit to remove the peel and pith all the way around. Next hold the fruit in your hand and, again with a sharp knife, cut next to the tough membrane so the flesh is removed in one segment.
2. Drop the segments into a glass serving bowl. Complete this procedure with all oranges and grapefruit.
3. Squeeze lemon juice over the citrus segments. Drizzle maple syrup or agave nectar over top and add the spices. Toss gently. Let sit for at least an hour to blend flavors. Keeps well in the refrigerator for 3 or 4 days.
Spiced broiled grapefruit (1/2 grapefruit per person)
1/2 grapefruit per person
1 tbsp pure maple syrup per grapefruit half
1/2 vanilla extract per grapefruit half
pinch ea. ground cardamom, nutmeg & cinnamon per grapefruit half
1. Position the oven rack so it sits 4 inches below the broiler element in your oven.
2. Preheat the oven to broil. Have a medium-sized casserole dish ready to set the grapefruit into.
3. Cut grapefruit in half.
4. Set each half in the casserole dish and drizzle with maple syrup and vanilla. Season with spices and place under the broiler for about 5 minutes.

4. Trying to get at least seven hours of sleep a night.
5. Cleaning up after myself more.
6. Being more organized.
7. Not skipping breakfast.
8. Eating more fruits and vegetables.
9. Not being so lazy.
10. Reading more, watching pointless TV less.
